Giftegy researches and writes gift guides, comparisons, and recommendations. This page explains how we produce that content, the standards we hold it to, and exactly how to flag a page that looks wrong.

How Pages Are Produced

Giftegy's guides, comparisons, and recommendation pages are researched and written by our editorial team. We review product listings, pricing, and specifications from retailers and brands, compare products against each other, and write our own analysis of who each gift is best for. Prices and availability shown on a page reflect what we found at the time of research and can change on the retailer's own site afterward.

Some pages (like our product comparisons) follow a consistent structure so similar products are easy to compare side by side. That structure is a presentation choice, not a substitute for the underlying research; every listed product has been reviewed before it's included.

Sourcing Standards

  • Primary sources for product facts. Prices, specifications, and availability come from the retailer's or brand's own listing, not a third-party aggregator.
  • Recommendations are our own judgment. Which products we recommend, and for whom, reflects our own research and editorial judgment, clearly distinct from the retailer's marketing copy.
  • Affiliate relationships never buy placement. We never recommend a product solely because it pays a higher commission, see our affiliate disclosure for the full detail.
  • No invented reviews. We do not fabricate customer reviews, testimonials, or ratings.

Update Cadence

We periodically re-check prices, availability, and specifications on our guides and comparisons, but retailer listings change faster than we can track in real time. Always confirm current price and stock on the retailer's own page before you buy.

Corrections Process

If a page on Giftegy looks wrong, tell us. Here is how we handle a report:

  1. Report. Use the contact page with the page URL and what looks off.
  2. Verify. We check the current listing on the retailer's or brand's own site.
  3. Fix. If the price, link, or detail is out of date, we update the page. If a recommendation no longer holds up, we revise or remove it.
  4. Note it. Material corrections are reflected the next time the page is rebuilt.

We aim to acknowledge error reports within a few business days.
